"When our little band first started out, we cut our teeth playing a circuit of coffee shops all around Vancouver. At one such show, an audience member approached us wanting to buy a CD, and said something like “so you’re The Window Sills?”. That tickled us enough that we decided to call our first album just that, paying tribute to that moment right on the front cover. Back then the songs were flowing from all sorts of directions, so we chose to frame each one on its unique window sill, so it would feel at home among its diverse neighbours. This is the album that put us on the map, and still continues to be the crowd favourite."
